WELCOME BACK!
Seeing the excited faces of students both returning to campus and reuniting with friends virtually was a welcome start to the school year. Morse PTO welcomed students back to campus on the first days of school with a sign celebrating Morse Elementary's 40th year! Go Marksmen! Stay tuned for more events throughout the year honoring this anniversary.

2 HOURS OF POWER VOLUNTEER CHALLENGE
**THANK YOU so much to all who have already signed up to volunteer for Morse PTO this year. We depend on you! Please see below for our current needs. **
Still Looking for a Blue Valley Education Representative
If you like to stay informed by attending monthly school board meetings, this is the job for you! Share information from the meetings with the PTO Board. Approximate time commitment is 2 hours monthly. If once a month is too much of a time commitment, grab a friend to alternate months with you! Sign up here.

We Need a School Supply Liaison
Each year Morse PTO offers caregivers the opportunity to purchase school supplies through the school and avoid the hassle of back-to-school shopping. This liaison coordinates details of the annual pre-packaged school supply sale with vendors and parents. Approximate time commitment is 5 hours in August (sorting in Fall 2021) and 2 hours in January/February (online order forms).  ​​Sign up here.

Become a Morse PTO Member Today
​
The mission of the Morse Elementary PTO is to promote and encourage a student-centered environment with strong community connections. As a member of the Morse PTO, you receive a student directory, voting privileges at any PTO meeting, and eligibility to serve in any elective position. The $30 Family Membership fee covers PTO operating costs, Staff Appreciation Week activities, and the cost of the student directory. Pay the Membership fee under Fees in ParentVue.

We'd like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who have donated to Take Stock in Morse. There is still time to contribute! You can donate through ParentVue. Get more information about Take Stock and look at last year's approved staff grants.

Show your Marksman pride this year by sporting Morse wear either in person or on a Zoom meeting. Visit Spirit Wear on the Morse PTO website to see the options of shirts, sweatshirts, and face masks and place your order today. Don't delay: the order deadline is September 30th!

Five Schools, One Family Initiative
The BVSW Five Schools, One Family Committee is selling community spirit apparel again this year. This initiative brings together students from all 5 feeder schools to show their Southwest Timberwolf pride!  Check out the BVSW PTO website for all of the goodies to show we are in this TOGETHER!

  2. Amazon will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at AmazonSmile will result in a donation.

Safe + Sane + Seen: Blue Valley Southwest Feeder Schools--September 22 @ 6:30PM 
This 60-minute virtual event will help you make a game plan to manage screens at home by sharing fresh, expert-informed concepts that can apply to all ages of kids. Content is designed for adults only. You will walk away with practical ideas to help your child stay safe, sane and seen in an increasingly digital world.  If you can't join live, the event will be recorded and sent to registered parents to view at a time convenient for you.  Registration is now open. Spirit Night for Morse Elementary at Chipotle --September 30 from 5:00-9:00PM 
Whether you want to dine in or order online and carry out, make the Chipotle at 8301 W 151st St in Overland Park part of your dinner plans on September 30th.
