PTO Playground Announcement
Morse is due for a playground renovation and update from the district.  This will include covering the loose mulch with a padded, flat surface, removing the existing coniferous trees (safety hazard), removing ramps and adding small ropes equipment as pictured here.   (Photo Taken at Blue River Elementary)

PTO Upgrades!  Let’s make this happen!
The district will allow our school PTO to provide money to further the upgrades during this time of renovation. The PTO board has voted to devote all funds from our community events for 2016-2017 (Harvest Hustle, Father Daughter Dance, Trivia Night, and Fun Run/Carnival) to this purpose. Our goal is to invest a minimum of $20,000 on these upgrades and we’ll need your help and participation at our community events.  Once the new surface is installed over the summer, we will not have another opportunity to add equipment for several years.
  • We want to raise enough money to add a piece of equipment like this and purchase several safe trees for the kids as well as a new surface for the GaGa Ball Pit:

Things to know:
  • We currently have approximately $10,000 that we had saved for the Marquis, but was not needed as the district decided to pay for that.  We also have about $6,000 from Harvest Hustle.
  • This equipment would benefit ALL students and the community for a decade or more.
  • Work has already begun on the playground, but the majority of the work will take place over the summer.
  • We must inform the district of our contribution level by April.
  • If we beat our minimum goal of $20,000, we will have options to add additional pieces to the equipment as well as cover the GaGa Pit with a hard surface (NO MORE MUD!)  If our PTO can contribute up to $40,000, we’ll have a pretty awesome upgrade!
  • Other Blue Valley PTOs contributed anything from $10,000-$90,000 for their respective playground renovations.
  • A committee will be formed to work with the school and district to choose the equipment and select replacement trees around the playground.  Interested?  Contact Theresa Korte at morseptobv@gmail.com
