VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Morse PTO is looking to fill the following positions immediately. Be a Marksman this November (Psst. We need someone Monday, November 7th.) We need Morse Marksman mascot volunteers for November, the perfect month to don a warm costume and a giant head to remind students to be thankful and make the most of their day. Check out the Sign-Up Genius to get your turn. Last Call for Morse Book Fair Evening Event Coordinator Most people do not remember the days of our Family Supper event. In year's past, the organizer of this event brought in a caterer to do a pancake dinner available for purchase. Families dined together and then visited the Book Fair to snatch up their favorite reads or holiday gifts. This year, the Book Fair is November 9-11. Morse PTO is open to a variation of this event: perhaps a hot cocoa and cookie bar for families to enjoy a sweet treat before or after shopping. Interested in making this happen? Click the Sign-Up Genius to help, or email Lisa Wedel if you have questions. IF WE DO NOT GET A VOLUNTEER WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, THE DESSERT NIGHT EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED. Take a look at all of our volunteer needs by checking out our 2022-2023 Morse PTO Events Sign-Up . Volunteering is a great way to build community and have input in your student's elementary school experience. Questions? Please feel free to email us. |

GOOD TO KNOW
Not Too Late for Take Stock! Did your child bring home this sticker a few weeks ago? We appreciate our Take Stock donors so very much and so should you because they help to bring resources, educational materials, innovative programming, and cutting-edge technology to all Morse students. We are still working to hit our $8,000 goal for Take Stock and could use your help. The Take Stock Grant Committee will be meeting soon, and we would like to fund as many grants as possible. Read more about previous grants here, and donate to Take Stock through ParentVue or Venmo (@MorseElementary-PTO). We Are Still Working with Vendor on Spirit Wear Orders (Sorry!) Thanks to everyone who ordered Morse spirit wear. We know that the delay is frustrating, but our vendor has been encountering shipping and inventory delays. We are in contact with the company every few days to get an update. As a reminder, spirit wear will be delivered to the school and sent home with your student. Add Morse Spirit Night at Chipotle to your Calendar TODAY We are excited to hold our second spirit night of the year at Chipotle Mexican Grill at 8301 W 151st, Overland Park on November 9th from 4-8pm. Use code 3HMFGE7 or show the flyer in the restaurant to help Morse earn 33% of event sales in order to bring fun events like Movie Night to the community. |
