VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Morse PTO is looking to fill the following positions immediately. Not Too Late to Be a Part of Five Schools, One Family Homecoming Tailgate Five Schools, One Family will have its own tailgate section at the BVSW Homecoming game on Friday, October 14th at their home field (Blue Valley District Activities Complex located at 16200 Antioch in Overland Park) . We could use another volunteer to pass out stress balls and other trinkets at the Morse tailgating table from 5:00-6:45pm. Email Sara Knag for more details or to volunteer. Wow! Did You See the Third Grade Musical??? If you missed the Third Grade musical "Hawaiian Beach Party," you missed one great show. The audience laughed, cried, and admired the hard work of the talented students and Ms. Morrison. These productions would not be possible without our wonderful music teacher AND the volunteers who support her by gathering supplies, helping with stage decoration, doing performance prep, and organizing the seat raffle. We are STILL looking for someone (or a group) who can help Ms. Morrison with the first-grade performance. Click the Sign-Up Genius to help. In addition, if you are a second, fourth, or fifth grade parent who would like to help with your student's musical, email Lisa Wedel. Be a Marksman this November We need Morse Marksman mascot volunteers for November, the perfect month to don a warm costume and a giant head to remind students to be thankful and make the most of their day. Check out the Sign-Up Genius to get your turn. Looking for Family Supper Organizer Most people at the school do not remember the days of our Family Supper event. This community activity takes place on an evening of the Morse Book Fair, and we are looking for someone to bring back the tradition. In year's past, the organizer of this event has brought in a caterer to do a pancake dinner available for purchase. Families dined together and then visited the Book Fair to snatch up their favorite reads or holiday gifts. This year, the Book Fair is November 9-11. Morse PTO is open to a variation of this event: the last year we held an event on an evening of the Morse Book Fair, it was a hot cocoa and cookie bar for families to enjoy a sweet treat before or after shopping. Interested in making this happen? Click the Sign-Up Genius to help, or email Lisa Wedel if you have questions. Take a look at all of our volunteer needs by checking out our 2022-2023 Morse PTO Events Sign-Up . Volunteering is a great way to build community and have input in your student's elementary school experience. Questions? Please feel free to email us. |
