THANK YOU, DR. K
Morse PTO wants to give a big shout out to Dr. K. for his leadership this school year. His administrative experience was evident as he came into this difficult year and handled challenges with kindness, steadfastness, and wisdom. We appreciate the time he committed to Morse this school year, and we wish him the best in retirement. |
2 HOURS OF POWER CHALLENGE
We Have Volunteer Opportunities To Fit ANY Schedule A big THANK YOU to all of you who already have signed up to make next school year amazing. Morse PTO is still looking for volunteers for next year's committees. Remember that the success of our PTO depends on YOU! Please take a moment to look through all of the volunteer opportunities for next year: they cater to a wide range of time commitments and interests. 2021-2022 Volunteer Sign-Up Genius Volunteer Position Spotlight: Back to School Night and Staff Lunches The Morse PTO is looking to fill some important fall positions. Can you help by volunteering for one of these roles? Back to School Night: Coordinate second grade parent volunteers to serve cookies and drinks at Back to School Night. This should be a parent of a second grade student, and the approximate time commitment is less than 4 hours in the fall. This is a great way to get your volunteer time in right at the beginning of the year AND meet more Morse families! Staff Lunches: Are you looking to brighten up the day for Morse staff? Consider coordinating catering and volunteers for 3 staff lunches: the week before school, fall conferences, and spring conferences. Duties include emailing the teacher representative about food, sending emails to parent volunteers, ordering food, and setting up/tearing down. Approximate time commitment is 4-5 hours throughout the school year. Click here to sign up or for more information on any of these volunteer opportunities. |
DON'T FORGET
Hang On To Those Field Trip Shirts At the start of most school years, PTO provides kindergarten students a field trip shirt. The t-shirts are color-coded by graduation year and are intended to continue on with your child to the next grade level. This year our kindergarten class did not receive t-shirts because no field trips were planned. NEXT year our kindergarten and first grade students will be given shirts. For those who have shirts, please continue to hold on to them as you go through your students' clothing closets. Each fall parents are given the opportunity to purchase a replacement shirt for students who have outgrown or lost their shirts. Order School Supplies SHOP NOW for next year's school supplies. Avoid the stores and get all of your school supply shopping done online. EPI school supply packs contain all of the items and brands our teachers require. Not only is it convenient for you, it is a fundraiser to help our school. Each pack is delivered to school and available at School Supply Drop Off night. Deadline to order is June 13th. You can order supplies here. |
GOOD TO KNOW
Continue to Collect Hy-Vee Receipts and Box Tops Your participation in the Hy-Vee and Box Top programs matters! We are still collecting Box Tops and Hy-Vee receipts. Box Tops can be submitted through the Box Top app by just scanning your grocery receipt. Continue to collect Hy-Vee receipts, and keep them until we return to school. Mr. V Memorial to Include Bench Morse PTO continues to work behind the scenes to plan an appropriate Mr. Vandemark memorial on campus. Morse PTO intends to use funds raised at the beginning of the school year to purchase a bench that will be installed along the campus path leading to Blue Stem. The bench will be personalized with a Mr. V favorite. Stay tuned for more details as Morse PTO receives information from the district. |
