2 HOURS OF POWER CHALLENGE
We Have Volunteer Opportunities To Fit ANY Schedule Morse PTO is currently looking for volunteers for next year's committees. Remember that the success of our PTO depends on YOU! Please take a moment to look through all of the volunteer opportunities for next year: they cater to a wide range of time commitments and interests. Don't delay as some of the committees fill up quickly! 2020-2021 Volunteer Sign-Up Genius Volunteer Position Spotlight: Mother/Son Night, School Supply Liaison, and Kindergarten Coffee The Morse PTO is planning for the best possible scenario in the fall, and we NEED your help to make sure all of these favorite events happen! Check out several urgent needs: Mother/Son Night: We need committee members and chairs to plan this special evening for Morse families. The Morse PTO Board will happily book AMF bowling lanes now so that the committee can focus on the details of the evening. As a reminder, this event will NOT be a fundraiser next fall, so no solicitation is required. Kindergarten Coffee: Do you have a few hours in the fall to make our new families feel welcome? Organize pastries and coffee in the library at the beginning of the second school day and help these parents get to know each other and Morse Elementary. School Supply Liaison Will you help by sorting the pre-packaged school supplies in the fall and by facilitating online order sales in the spring? This position works well for someone who can help but who doesn't want a big time commitment throughout the year. Click here to sign up or for more information on any of these volunteer opportunities. |
DON'T FORGET
Hang On To Those Field Trip Shirts At the start of your child's time at Morse Elementary, PTO provided your child a field trip shirt. The t-shirts are color-coded by graduation year and are intended to continue on with your child to the next grade level, so please keep your child's shirt somewhere safe over the summer. If your child's shirt gets lost or your child outgrows the t-shirt, you will have the opportunity to purchase a new one next school year. Order School Supplies Order your student's school supplies for the 2020-2021 school year today! Deadline to order is June 5th. Each pack is customized to the teachers of Morse Elementary, delivered to the school, and available at School Supply Drop Off Night. Find out more information or order supplies here. |
GOOD TO KNOW
Back-To-School Prep Is Underway Yup, you read that correctly! With the unprecedented end to this school year, we look forward to the day when students and teachers can return to the classroom. Morse PTO is helping you prepare for that day with a Back-to-School Checklist. It’s your one-stop guide to everything admin when it comes to signing your child up for school and starting off the year right! Registration for next school year begins May 13th! Continue to Collect Hy-Vee Receipts and Box Tops Do you know that we've raised almost $600 this year just by collecting Box Tops? Your participation in these programs matters! We are still collecting Box Tops and Hy-Vee receipts. Box Tops can be submitted through the Box Top app by just scanning your grocery receipt. Continue to collect Hy-Vee receipts, and keep them until we return to school. |
SAVE THE DATE
School Registration Begins--May 13 Registration is required every year to review/update information about your child(ren). By completing your registration, you confirm that your child(ren) will return to school in August. Registration for returning early childhood and K-8 students opens TODAY. To provide needed flexibility for families with changing financial situations, fee payments will be open through July 30. |
