WISDOM OF THE WEEK
“Time is not measured by the years that we live. But by the deeds that we do and the joys that we give"  – Helen Steiner Rice

2 HOURS OF POWER CHALLENGE
We Have Volunteer
Opportunities To Fit ANY Schedule
Think you are too busy to help out? You couldn't be more wrong! We have easy jobs like running  quick errands  or donating store-bought baked goods for Staff Appreciation Week. We have a weekly summer sign up to care for the OWLS Garden. We have far off tasks like being Committee Co-Chairs for March 2020's Trivia Night. We have volunteer opportunities to fit any schedule because we do so much and need help from so many! Please check out our volunteer listings.

DON'T FORGET
Staff Appreciation Week Starts Sunday, May 5

"2-4-6-8! Who do we appreciate?!" Help us show our staff just how much we appreciate their hard work and kindness by participating in Staff Appreciation Week activities.  Because we just can't wait until Monday to start the fun, we'll kick off the festivities on Sunday, May 5 with "Chalk the Walk" and popsicles. Check out our plans for the whole week.

GOOD TO KNOW
Last Minute Carnival Details
Below are the top 6 things you should know about this family fun event:
  1. We still need your help!
    • You can sign up to bring a Cake Walk donation to the drop-off line on Thursday or Friday morning.
    • Adults can sign up to help us for an hour at the event.
    • Students can sign up to volunteer at the Carnival & Fun Run.
  2. Plan to arrive at Morse no later than 5pm for the Fun Run.
  3. Parking will be very limited at and near Morse. Extra parking is available at Advent Lutheran Church.
  4. Bags with pre-ordered items (t-shirts, tickets, wristbands and race bibs) were sent home on Tuesday.
  5. Ice cream, chips, water, a few t-shirts, bounce house wristbands and game tickets will be available for purchase on Friday.
  6. We will keep parents informed if changes are made to the Carnival & Fun Run due to inclement weather. We do have the school reserved and will move the carnival inside if necessary.

Back To School Prep Is Underway
Yup, you read that correctly! We've already started planning for the next school year and to help you keep track of all your To Do's, we've created a handy What & When Checklist.

Hang On To Those Field Trip Shirts
At the start of this school year, PTO provided each student a field trip shirt. The t-shirts are color-coded by graduation year and are intended to continue on with your child to the next grade level. Our goal is to purchase as few replacement shirts as possible each year, so please keep your child's shirt somewhere safe over the summer.

Staff Appreciation Week—May 5
Let's celebrate our wonderful staff by showering them with special activities and treats all week long in honor of National Staff Appreciation Week.

Mark your calendar for Field Day/Talent Share. We can't wait for the outdoor activities and talent share fun.

5th Grade Farewell--May 23, 7:45am in the Morse Gym
Believe it or not, it's time to send our 5th graders off to middle school! We welcome parents, grandparents and caregivers to this celebration as our 5th graders say farewell to Morse.

Celebrate Calm
--October 16 & 17
Mark your calendar for Kirk Martin's Celebrate Calm  events.
Come find out why over 600,000 parents and teachers have called Kirk’s presentations “practical, life-changing, relatable, and laugh-out-loud funny.” Lots more details to come.

It's a great day to be a Marksmen!
