Trivia Help Needed Morse PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year is here! How can you help make this event a success?
We Need a Staff Appreciation Chair We have an amazing Morse Staff! Help us show our appreciation to them by coordinating Staff Appreciation Week activities in May: schedule with outside service providers, coordinate schedule with Morse office staff, attend daily activities, and schedule volunteers as needed. Approximate time is 3 hours of prep, plus volunteering during the week. Click the Sign-Up Genius to volunteer today. Morse Marksman Mascot Volunteers NEEDED! The weather is warming up, and we need Morse Marksman mascots for the rest of the year. Bring some school spirit to a Monday morning in this final nine weeks! Shop for Next Year's School Supplies NOW SHOP NOW for next year's school supplies. Avoid the stores and get all of your school supply shopping done online. EPI school supply packs contain all of the items and brands our teachers require. Not only is it convenient for you, but it is a fundraiser to help our school. Each pack is delivered to school and available at School Supply Drop Off night. Order now with our School ID: MOR082 (3 letters, 3 numbers). The prices increase after May 23rd, and final deadline to order is June 19th. Click on the image for more information, or order supplies here. Mark Your Calendars for Chicken N Pickle Night! The three feeder elementary schools for BVSW--Timber Creek, Morse, and Wolf Springs--are coming together to host a family night at Chicken N Pickle in Overland Park on April 24th from 4-7pm. Students are out of school on that day and will enjoy all that the event has to offer: DJ, pickle ball, bocce ball, shuffleboard, yard games, and raffle baskets! Wristbands will be sold at the door. HOWEVER, avoid the long line and buy yours in advance here. Presale wristbands are available for purchase until April 13th and will be delivered to students to take home on April 17th. Come join the fun as we celebrate our community! Giddy Up! Trivia Night Invitations will be going home soon! Be on the lookout for Trivia Night invitations in your student's backpack soon. This year's biggest fundraising event will be on Friday, April 21st from 6:00-10:00 pm at Camelot Ballroom. Saddle up the horses, grab your friends, and get ready for a good time. This adult-only event features a costume contest, trivia game, Jack Stack dinner, and cash bar. Response cards and payment are due by March 31. Click here for more information. Support Morse at our Slim Chickens Spirit Night Join us on Thursday, March 30th at Slim Chicken's on 135th St Overland Park for a delicious dinner that supports our school community. Dine in or carry out between 5-9pm, and 15% of your purchase will be donated to Morse Elementary PTO! We hope to see you there. Morse PTO Senior Scholarship Every year Morse PTO awards a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Morse Elementary for a minimum of 3 years. Do you know a graduating senior who may want to apply? Seniors can read more about eligibility criteria and download an application here. The deadline for the scholarship is March 31st, 2023. THANK YOU for a successful Sneakers and Sequins Ball The Sneakers and Sequins Committee--Leslie Wheeler, Jenn Marasco, and Peggy Olivarez--would like to thank everyone who came and supported this community event. Specifically, they would like to recognize volunteers Sarah Hemmy, Sarah Kolell, Karlynn Boyle, Astrid Fernandez Del Pino, Jessica Bates, Kristen Kuhlen, Bel McCully, Brandi Harms, Madeline Heinen, Sami Tolliver, Melanie Wheeler, and Hailey Morrow for all of their help either with set up or working the event. Kindergarten Round Up--Friday, April 14 at Morse Elementary Those with incoming kindergartners should plan to attend this event. Kindergarten online registration begins February 21st. Trivia Night--Friday, April 21, 6-10pm at Camelot Ballroom Join us for this fun adult-only evening to build community and raise funds for Morse PTO. Morse, Wolf Springs, and Timber Creek Chicken N Pickle Event--Monday, April 24 at Chicken N Pickle OP Come to this family-friendly event from 4-7pm to enjoy a DJ, games, raffle, and more! Morse Carnival and Fun Run--Friday, May 5, 2023 at Morse Elementary Two events on one night! Run with the Morse community and the Carnival begins right after! More details to come. |
