VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Last Call: Join Carnival Committee Our Carnival Committee Chair Denise Todd has returned to bring the community another amazing event. Carnival is a huge event and cannot take place without multiple committee members. If you are new to volunteering, this is a great committee to jump on. Check out the Sign-Up Genius to sign up today. Meetings will begin soon. Last Call: Join Trivia Night Committee We are still looking for a few more committee members to serve on this year's Trivia Night committee. Again, this event requires multiple volunteers. Help us bring back the FUN and philanthropy. Click here to sign up or email us with questions. Morse Marksman Mascot Needed This Monday THANK YOU to all who have already stepped into the Morse Marksman role this school year: you have brought so much fun to our Monday mornings. We need Morse Marksman mascots for January (including THIS COMING MONDAY). Bring some school spirit to the beginning of the the semester. Check out the Sign-Up Genius to get your turn. Help Us Supply Our Staff Snacks During Winter Conferences Part of your dues as a PTO member go toward providing 3-4 staff meals each school year. In addition to the staff meal for February conferences, we would like to provide snacks in the staff lounge. Check out the Sign-Up Genius to help us stock the lounge with grab-and-go snacks. Bond Ballots Arrived Last Week All registered Blue Valley voters will have an opportunity to vote in a no tax rate increase bond election in January 2023. Bond projects include investments in facilities, safety and technology that will benefit staff and students for years to come. Here are a few ways to learn more about Bond 2023.
Celebrate Marksmen Mondays Remember that each Monday is Marksman Monday, so lay out those Morse clothes Sunday night. Help us bring school spirit and unity to the Morse school community each week! Remember to Scan Those Box Tops and Save Hy-Vee Receipts Your participation in these programs matters! Box Tops can be submitted through the Box Top app by scanning your grocery receipt, and you can send all Hy-Vee receipts to the office. Blue Valley Educational Foundation (BVEF) Hosts Battle of the Bands The Blue Valley Educational Foundation (BVEF) is holding Battle of the Bands on Saturday, February 25th. Proceeds for this event go to support music and performing arts initiatives throughout the district. The ticket link will be opening soon! Morse will be donating a basket, and we are requesting gift cards to local restaurants or entertainment. If you have connections to local establishments and can get a gift card donated, please email Brooke Johnson at bemery01@gmail.com for the Non-Profit Tax ID , collection arrangements, or to follow up with questions. Do You Know an Incoming Kinder Marksman? Morse administrators and staff are already preparing for the next school year. At this time the school district is seeking to determine approximate numbers for kindergarten next year as well as gather contact information to reach kinder guardians about important upcoming registration dates and activities. Please fill out this questionnaire if you have an incoming kindergartener, or pass along the information if you know someone who will have a kinder at Morse next year. Look for Take Stock Donation Tax Receipt Letters Take Stock Donation Tax Receipt letters will be sent out via email within the next few weeks. Look for yours in your Inbox. Class Valentine's Day Parties--Tuesday, February 14, 2:30-3:30pm at Morse Elementary Stay tuned for emails from teaches and/or room parents about ways you can help with this final party of the school year. Morse Skate Night--Wednesday, March 1, 6-8pm at Skate City Roll on over to Skate City with friends from Morse, and a portion of sales comes back to the Morse PTO. Sequins and Sneakers--Saturday, March 4, 6-9pm at Camelot Ballroom Put on your dancing shoes and come hang out with the Morse community. More details to come. Trivia Night--Friday, April 8, time TBA at Camelot Ballroom Join us for this fun adult-only evening to build community and raise funds for Morse PTO. More details to come. Kindergarten Round Up--Friday, April 14 at Morse Elementary Those with incoming kindergartners should plan to attend this event. Kindergarten online registration begins February 21st. Morse Carnival and Fun Run--Friday, May 5, 2023 at Morse Elementary Two events on one night! Run with the Morse community and then head over to the Carnival! More details to come. |
