THANKS SO MUCH We appreciate all who have stepped up to bring beloved events back to Morse this spring semester. Mother/Son, Daddy/Daughter, Trivia Night, and Carnival committees are all up and running. Do you want to help with one of these spring events? Sign up here or email us. We need Marksman Mascot for March 7th! Students and caregivers alike have enjoyed the school spirit of our Marksman mascot on Monday mornings. Bid on Battle of the Bands Auction Items The Blue Valley Educational Foundation (BVEF) is holding its 10th Anniversary Battle of the Bands at RC's Back Door and Grill (330 E. 135th, Martin City) on February 26, 2022. The doors open at 6:30 pm, and the bands start at 7:30. The event is sold out, but you can still bid on auction items to raise money for Blue Valley with this link. Get Ready for "Night at the Movies" Morse PTO Trivia Night Our favorite staff and caregiver night out is returning! Grab seven of your friends to celebrate "Night at the Movies", and come dressed as the cast of your favorite movie! Trivia Night will be held on Friday, April 8th at the Camelot Ballroom. Invitations to follow soon with more info. Trivia Night is Morse's PTO largest fundraiser of the year: this year we will be raising money for new basketball and soccer goals on the playground. Kinder Online Registration Has Begun Morse administrators and staff are already preparing for the next school year. At this time the school district is seeking to determine approximate numbers for kindergarten next year as well as gather contact information to reach kinder guardians about important upcoming registration dates and activities. Please fill out this questionnaire if you have an incoming kindergartener, or pass along the information if you know someone who will have a kinder at Morse next year. Kindergarten online registration is open NOW. Get Behind the Scenes on Footloose on Saturday, April 2nd The BVSW Theater department is offering k-5 students the opportunity to come learn what the actors, dancers, and technicians do to put on a major production and be part of an award winning performing arts program. Students will be taught a dance routine from the dance captain and actors from the show and perform the choreography on stage during the intermission of the Friday night performance. See the flyer for more information. Know a Morse Senior? Every year Morse PTO awards a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Morse Elementary for a minimum of 3 years. Do you know a graduating senior who may want to apply? Seniors can read more about eligibility criteria here and download an application here. The deadline for the scholarship is April 1st, 2022. |
