2 HOURS OF POWER VOLUNTEER CHALLENGE
WE WANT TRIVIA NIGHT TO HAPPEN
We are so appreciative of those who have stepped up to lead our spring events. TRIVIA NIGHT, our fun adult-night-out event, still needs a chair and committee members. Remember: this is the only fundraising event that PTO does each year.  In the past we have used the money we have raised at this event to fund playground upgrades, water-bottle-filling drinking fountains, and positive messaging in the school. Not only does the event help with school improvement projects, it also is a fun community night well attended by both staff and parents. As a reminder, your Morse PTO Board will be there to help you! Sign up for this volunteer opportunity here.  Don't delay: we need to make decisions about this event within the next week! Please feel free to email us with questions.

You Will Look Great in the Marksman Costume
We are still looking for parents who can volunteer one Monday morning to don the Marksman mascot suit and kick a week of learning off right! As of right now, we have no one scheduled for the next several weeks. Visit the Sign Up Genius to pick your Monday or get more information about volunteering.

DON'T FORGET
Blue Valley Educational Foundation (BVEF) Hosts Battle of the Bands
The Blue Valley Educational Foundation (BVEF) is holding its 10th Anniversary Battle of the Bands at RC's Back Door and Grill (330 E. 135th, Martin City) on February 26, 2022. The doors open at 5:00 pm, and the bands start at 6:00. This adult night out features 5 former parent champion bands who will perform for Best Blue Valley Band! This event raises money to support district-wide music programs.  Sponsorships are available now: click here for information and pledge form. Get your business or a group of friends to sponsor or reserve a table for the night. Individual tickets can be purchased here.

Donations are being collected for silent auction baskets. Morse will be donating a basket (min. $200 value), and we are requesting gift cards to local restaurants or entertainment. If you have connections to local establishments and can get a gift card donated, please email Brooke Johnson at bemery01@gmail.com for the Non-Profit Tax ID , collection arrangements, or to follow up with questions.

We Want Your Input
Our February Morse PTO meeting usually includes a speaker about a topic of interest to elementary parents. Do you want to hear more about student online safety, mental health, child development, state and national assessments, learning programs used in the school, or something else? Take this 15-second poll to help us plan a relevant, meaningful opportunity for the Morse community.

SAVE THE DATE
Winter Parties--December 21st
While this year's winter parties will look a lot like the 2021 Halloween parties, you may be asked to contribute something to your student's celebration. Be on the lookout for emails from your student's teacher or room parent.

It's a great day to be a Marksman!
The mission of the Morse Elementary PTO is to promote and encourage a
student-centered environment with strong community connections.
